Do elephants have fur?

Mami was trying to prepare some Science questions for me in an exercise book. The questions were based on a Primary One Science Textbook.

After marking my answers, Mami was not too sure of one of the answer. Do elephants have fur? Mami asked Dadi and Mah Mah, and both said "No, elephants do not have fur". But the Science Textbook provided the answer as "Yes, elephants have fur".

We touched a baby elephant recently at the Melaka zoo so we can safely say that yes, elephants have very hard and rough fur and they are quite sparse :)

Thank you for your reply. I must bring Ben to the zoo to experience himself. I just asked a school teacher and the teacher said that the fur is quite insignificant. So, the answer should be "no". But I'll stick to your answer. Thanks again.
