I made it!

I am soooo happy when Dadi and Mami told me that the School which I'm interested in has accepted me as a student for Primary One next year. I went for the School Assessment last week. Dadi and Mami were subsequently called for an interview with the Headmistress. They were informed that there is a place for me in the school, but would have to wait for their official letter together with the School Fees List in August. Oh how I wish Dadi and Mami would agree once they receive the letter later. Otherwise, I would end up going to a Chinese School.

Yamaha Electone Festival 2011

Dadi and Mami brought TiTi and I to the Yamaha Electone Festinal 2011 Regional Finals last Sunday. We wanted to support my music teacher who had sent a group to compete. It was AMAZING! I cannot believe there are many children so good in playing the electone. Mami asked me if I wanted to play like that. My response was...... "No, it's too difficult".

My first gift for my "girlfriend"

I have a "girlfriend" in my kindergarden. She is pretty and smart. Yesterday, I told my Mami that I promise her a picture. In return, she told me that she would ask her Daddy to take a nail and hammer to hang my picture on the wall so that she can look at it everyday. I was happy. So, I coloured the below pre-drawn pictured for her. Mami helped me colour together too. Notice that addition hearts on the picture which I drew....

P/S Mami~ I'm amazed that Ben took so much effort in colouring this picture. He has never coloured such a nice picture for me before.

Church Camp at El Santuary, Melaka

Last weekend was my belated Birthday Celebration. During my Birthday end of last month, our family went for our Church Camp at El Santuary, Melaka. I had lots and lots and lots of fun. I wish I could stay longer because I left one day earlier with my cousins. Why? Because we all had to rest for our school exams straight after the camp.

Oh... I've got one cousin missing in the photo. Don't know where Nicolas Kor Kor was.

Come check out my food prices

Remember i mentioned that i needed to sell food so that i can save money to go to a private school? I was thinking the whole night and i finally came out with a price list. I called Mah Mah today after school to share it with her. Mami told me that i have to always discuss this with my business partners. I don't quite understand why but i did just that. I told Mah Mah that we should sell rice at two dollars and six cents, noodles at four dollars and eight cents and choc cake at six dollars and ten cents. Mah Mah said that we can't sell at that price because there is no more one cent gold coins. So i need to think again.

Mah Mah gave me a new food menu like jelly, sandwiches and some drinks like apple juice, carrot and milk, apple with carrot, ribena, orange juice and lemonade. Now i need to prepare my stall. I wonder when Mah Mah and Yeh Yeh are coming.

Which school should I go to next year?

Mami is cracking her head to decide which school I should be going for Primary 1. Dadi and Mami wants me to learn Mandarin, but they can't teach me Mandarin. They do not want me to rely on Tuition Teachers because they want me to study independently.

Mami had registered me in a Government Chinese School last year. My Kindergarden teachers are all for it in encouraging Mami to be bold in sending me to a Chinese School because I've been doing well in the Kindergarden. At the same time, I'm telling Mami that I don't want to go to a Chinese School. This is making Mami very indecisive.

Next month, I'll be going for an assessment at Sekolah Sri Sempurna. This is the next alternative for Dadi and Mami because the fees are a little more reasonable than other Private Schools and it has Mandarin as a subject. Though Dadi told me yesterday that he doesn't have the money to send me to a Private School, I had an idea.... heh...heh.... I shared this with my Yeh Yeh and Mah Mah yesterday over the phone, and they too think it's a good idea. In fact, my Mah Mah said that she will bake me a chocolate cake for it! Yum, Yum!

I told Yeh Yeh that we needed to collect some money. I will ask my Kakak to cook. Yeh Yeh and Mah Mah will carry my long table from Ben's room and put it under the house roof. They cannot put it at the gate in case it rains. Then they will help me sell food on the table. I will be in charge of calling my friends by ringing the bell from my bicycle to ask everyone to come and buy food. With the money, I hope to go to the Private School because I don't want to go to a Chinese School. I'm very frighten of fierce teachers and my cousins Nicolas Kor Kor and Ashley Cheh Cheh have been telling me that.

Now I need to call my Yeh Yeh and Mah Mah to see when they can come from Ipoh and sell food for me here under my house roof.

My Singapore Adventure

My adventure to Singapore during yearend in 2010

Hello again

It's been a long time since there was an update from me. The family was pretty busy with some changes but for a start, thank God that Ah Mah's health condition is stable and she stays in my house during the weekends to spend time with us.

I am turning 6 years old this month. As Mami always tell me "Benjamin, you are now a big boy. You need to start thinking like a big boy too".

Just to give you a few photos from last year.....

1) Paige boy for a wedding at church....

2) Spending some play time with cousins... Ashley and Tobin...

3) Went to Lost World, Ipoh with Yeh Yeh, Mah Mah, Dadi, Mami and Shaun TiTi...

Hope to be able to blog more this year. Cheers!

I'm better now

I haven't fully recovered, but I feel much better now. No more fever, but having some cough and sneezes quite often. Kakak and Mami are trying to disinfect the house in preparation for my Shaun Shaun Titi to come back home this weekend. Can't wait to see him. I miss my Titi.

Got the H1N1

From Daddy:

Ben confirmed infected with the H1N1 on Thursday. Doctor did a rapid test on him "twice" which returned positive for Influenza A. Did a third swap for the lab test. Lab test confirmed this morning that it is H1N1. He is on Tamilflu now and is responding positively to treatment, although he had pesistant fever and was quite lethargic on Friday.

Brave boy though, he endured 3 nose swaps without crying. Mummy couldn't even endure one. :-)

Long absence....

It's been super long since there has been an update because so many things have happened in the past 4 months. My Ah Mah was very ill, so, she couldn't take care of me (Ah Mah is currently staying in Ah Ku's house). So, my Kakak has been taking care of me during the day. It's nice with Kakak, because I get to play and play and play with her.

Over the past 4 months, Yeh Yeh & Mah Mah have been visiting me more often. Last week, they were here for 6 days to spend some time with me.

I have been a little more independent at home. I sometimes eat on my own, run to the toilet to shi shi on my own and i know how to use the telephone to call my mummy, daddy, yeh yeh or ah kim. I have also been learning to write letters to yeh yeh, and i receive letters in return. Clever or not?

Oh, by the way, i've got a new hair cut. Mami was very sad with my hair being so short. But many people said i look nice.... more like a big big boy now.
